What to see: We mean for London the whole City and other 32 districts. One of them, besides the City, is the Westminster district which represents the hub of trading and cultural centre of the city. London boasts a cosmopolite character, historical past, places of tourist interest, recurring attractions, entertainments for anyone. The symbol of London is the Tower Bridge, the peculiar bridge on the Tames, built in 1894 in order to satisfy the need to connect directly the two banks of the city on the east side. So that it could be avoided the use of the London Bridge placed on the west side. The palace of the Parliament, Westminster Palace, together with the Big Ben, the famous Londoner clock, are the points of reference of the city. Source of interest is the Tower London, an ancient Roman fortress then become a state prison, the Westminster Abbey, a gothic work holding tombs of some famous Englishmen, and also the St. Edward Chapel: the holy place of monarchy. Very important is the British Museum, one of the widest and richest museum of antiquities, such as Greek and Roman ones, objects of Sumerian, Assyrian-Babylonian and Persian art. Among the different parks and gardens  of the city, we point out the huge Hide Park, situated in Kensington, a pleasant and relaxing place for city stressed Londoners.

How to get there: London is reachable by plane from the main European and Extra-EC cities. It has got 5 airports well connected to the city centre through underground and bus service. Heathrow is its main airport, it is situated 24 km south-east London, the others are: Gatwick 40 km to the south, Stansted 60 km  to the north – east, Luton 50 km to the north, for charter flights only and City Airport placed 12 km to the east, for business flight connections only. If you come from Western Europe and you want to make use of the train, you can firstly arrive in Paris and then use the direct link Paris-London under the English Channel Tunnel. The crossing lasts about 3 hours.

How to go round: The traffic in London is a really heartfelt problem, you have only to think about the number of inhabitants of the city. Besides going round on foot, it is possible to use the efficient underground which splits in 11 lines and it can easily reach the main city points as well as suburban quarters. Another mean of transport is the bus. The typical red two-level bus, a city symbol, has already been taken away from circulation after many years of work.

Entertainments: In London lives together a unique mix of nationalities and cultures, so you can find enjoyment for all tastes. The English capital has got a high concentration of museums and art galleries for keens on this field: it is impossible to be disappointed. We suggest you to see the London Eye, the highest panoramic wheel of the world where you can admire all the monuments of the city. A great experience not to lose. London gives you also about one hundred fashionable places: discotheques, disco-pubs, nights for a more transgressive and unbridled enjoyment.
