What to see: For the moment it can be useful to know that Paris is composed of 20 districts, arrondissements, numbered starting from the first, the Louvre, which is numbered based on a clockwise spiral. If you want to identify the capital of France with a symbol, you can consider the Eiffel Tower, as many tourists do. The frame was unveiled in 1889, it is 320 metres high, it has got 3 levels, the first one at 60 metres, the second one at 115 and the last one at 275 metres about. Tourists can walk up to the tower or take the lift. Among several interesting architectures, we point out : the Nôtre Dame cathedral, a stately gothic works, rich in sculptures and wonderful glass windows; the Triumph Arch, the other monument symbol of Paris. Among the most famous public open spaces we point out the Île de la Cité district, a little island of the Seine, which it identify itself with the old heart of Paris, the luxury Champs-Elysés, the famous tree-lined avenue which connects Concord Square to the Triumph Arch. Furthermore we cannot miss the modern western district, the Défence, as well as the Bois de Boulogne: a huge park situated to the west from the city centre. Paris is then famous for the Louvre, one of the biggest and wonderful museums of the world, full of Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Oriental antiquities as well as medieval and modern paintings.

How to get there: Air connection are managed by national French airline, AirFrance, which it  can offer direct flights to and from Paris from the main European cities. A flight from Rome to Paris lasts about 2 hours. Paris has got 2 airports: the Charles de Gaulle, situated 25 km about north Paris and the Orly, situated 15 km south Paris. As much efficient and widespread are railway transports: from Milan to Paris it takes about 6 hours by a direct train.

How to go round: Paris is a compact city, if you want to appreciate better its beauties, the best way to go round is on foot or by bicycle rentable at low cost. However transport system allows to go round everywhere in the city in a cheap and efficient way. Underground has got 14 lines, in total are 270 stations. To the bus system, with 200 lines, it is added the 4 lines of the RER or rather urban trains similar to underground system.

Entertainments: Paris is the romantic place par excellence, it offers to tourists unforgettable moments, starting from visiting several places of cultural interest , such as monuments and architectures. It is simply impossible to be bored in Paris because there are so many places to have a good time , the most famous is the Moulin Rouge, the well-known cabaret spot situated in the 18° district, Montmartre, where you can find the Pigalle red lights area. A large number of cinemas, sporting events, dance halls, nightclubs for unconventional nights are in. For children’s amusement and not only, you can go to the EuroDisney park situated in the east of the city.
